【作品介紹 Description】

我相信，改善都市水文生態的關鍵藏於廢墟。都市更新是未來臺灣都市發展的趨勢。但近幾年，建物的拆除與更新往往為重大社會事件，引起社會對立及緊張。有些人認為拆除對居民社區的影響過於劇烈，另方面，許多臺灣舊建築也存在使用及結構上的問題。而我認為，毀滅帶來新生，萬物是循環的，因此生生不息；應更多的思考是如何建立有效有意義的更新機制及再利用設計。我們的設計目標就是重新思考廢棄物的價值，不只是回收，更是重新梳理拆除流程，將材料重塑，成為水岸景觀生態裝置”跳房子”。臺北是個水城，臺北的發展史與河流緊密相關。過去河流曾因污染成為市民的夢魘，直至近年改善了許多，但仍存在些問題。臺北由於水患的隱憂，人們使用大量的工程物去人工化水岸及堤防。這的確帶來遠離洪水的好處，但也剝奪了市民與水之間的互動，更破壞性的是，徹底摧毀了河流生態系統。河床及河岸無法再供提供生物棲息，河川也失去其自淨能力。而根據許多淨水的研究及廢棄物的成分調查，建築廢棄物其實擁有許多可以改善水生環境的特點。透水性及碎石間隙，可成為微生物吸收水中污染物的媒介，多孔隙性，可提供生物棲息環境等等功能。因此，我們所設計的河岸裝置物”跳房子”，將會有兩個主要功能，第一，回收都更建築廢棄物並設計為新裝置，改善河川的生態環境並提升河川本身自淨能力，第二，單元模組的”跳房子”多樣性配置組合，使原先單一的河岸成為豐富的水岸景觀。

DESIGN TARGET Our design believes that the solution of improve fluvial environment comes from demolish.The urban renew is the future trend of Taipei urban development. Although in these years, the building remove and relocate is sometimes became a controversial social event. Some people think building remove is too brutal to the community; on the other hand, most of Taiwan old buildings have the safety and structure problems. In my opinion, destruction is just a beginning. The aim of design is to rethink the value of building waste. It will be not only recycle, but also reform it from the remove process, and transform into a unique installation NEST in the river.There were some problems of river in Taipei. Most of the riverside were artificializing by concrete dike because of the concern of flood. It can keep citizen away from flowage but also deprive the water-loving riverside, and the worst effect is extinct of river ecological system. According the theory, the property of building waste have several features can engender the quality of fluvial environment condition. Depends on it, there will be two main purposes of the Nest. Firstly, restore the fluvial ecosystem and promote the self-purification of fluvial condition, and secondly, by planning multiple activity of riverside to bring people close to the river again.
