【作品介紹 Description】
A chapel assuming a space filled with natural wind blowing from the Lake that can be sensed and perceived conventionally through the touch with human skin would let to exploring other paths, as we searched for a way to sense wind not only by touch but by other senses, focusing specially on hearing. Therefore, we seek to make from this project a instrument played by natural wind, a stringed instrument like the one present in Greek mythology, belonging to the god Aeolus, controlling and blowing the wind, perceiving the presence of the tuneful Aeolian Harp inside the space. This is an interpretation of the instrument recreated as a space of ceremony, a space that plays sound when the wind and nature passes through. To produce the wind speed desired, we kept making and reading analysis and simulations through internal space models, then we started working in the openings giving shape into an architectural building. To create a continuous curved frame structure, domestic LVL was chosen as a material, it was then bended to create the structure, the structural plywood frame shapes the outside thereby playing a horizontal force. Plan as an upper airway of the internal space, a 91mm pitch of 0.72mm SUS wire is inserted there. Then Karman vortex is generated around the string by the air flow, the strings began to resonance as vibration force them, the sound is then born, it resonates in its wooden enclosure walls. Its thickness of 2.5mm thin inner plywood try as possible to increase the vibration. The instrument can be used to control the force of the wind by changing the degree of the openings, closing or opening a portion of the windows present on the east and west side, changing the tone. Delving into this instrument, it covers people with its calm space and echo of sound coming from the waves of the Lake at all times, but when the wind in the space begins to flow stronger, the tone changes depending on the direction and speed opening the ears of people to the sound of nature, ears that would normally be closed by the noise made by the city. When the wind occurs accompanied by changes in its energy, the friction force of the earth's surface and attraction of the Earth and relations of a non-homogeneous solar energy of the surrounding mountains, the people inside, the sound the Lake interposes between what is landscape and nature and what is architecture, a imperceptible variety of natural forces invade the imagination.
