【作品介紹 Description】
位於宜蘭西南方的清水地熱,是宜蘭重要的地熱能源開採地,在此,沸騰的地下水來到地表,只要二十五分鐘;而雨水自然的滲透到相同深度,則要花費二十年。地熱對於人類來說,除了發電,最終也只成為水龍頭扭轉出來的熱水。因此我思考,身為人類,是否能在如此巨大的自然中感受到什麼?怎樣的量測(Measure)才能看出除了人為控制之外,自然本身更龐大的控制與變化?因此,這是一個重新演繹,並串連著此循環,隨著季節與氣候而不斷變化的建築。 藉由提供發電廠一個新的冷卻與回注水到地底的系統,參與並打開發電廠中水循環的路徑與溫度,使這個建築成為介入自然,感知地表現象與地底溫度的重要媒介。在這個空間裡,可以看見自然元素上下交替著:裊裊的熱氣向上,雨水向下滲透,而冬天與夏天則分別是突顯其變化最大值的焦點。地景成了展演自然交替的新介面,有如地下的天文台一般,利用動態的天氣現象感知地底下靜態的巨大能量,重構人們對熱地景的反思與想像。
Located in the South of Ilan, Qing-Shui Geothermal site is one of the most important geothermal energy exploitation place in Taiwan. In this site, boiling groundwater rise up to the surface from 3000 meters deep that only cost 25 minutes by the geothermal well; but if the rain naturally penetrate into the same depth, it'll take at least 20 years. As far as human concerned, geothermal has only become the hot water that comes out from the faucet. (In addition to generation electricity.) So, I was thinking, “As human beings, whether can we feel anything about nature more delicate? What kind of measure can let us clearly feel the great nature changes more than human manipulate?” Therefore, it's a re-interpretation of Architecture that link up with the nature circulation, and changes with seasons and climate. With providing a new system that can cooling and recycling thermal water to the underground, we can participate into the water circulation and geothermal temperature. The architecture has become an important media that between ground (nature phenomenon) and underground (geothermal power). In this space, you can see nature elements alternating. Heat and white steam drift slowly into the sky, rain water penetration into the stone texture ground; summer and winter also show the maximum changes in a year. It's just like the underground observation that uses dynamic whether phenomena to sensor the huge underground power, rebuild imagination and reflection of thermal landscape.
