【 Description｜作品介紹 】
PINMO Paper Material Studio is a long-term experimental project dedicated to analyzing paper's material characteristics and practical applications. From 2023 to 2025, it evolved into PINMO Paper Material Lab, focusing on how diverse paper properties influence visual outcomes through speculative design and production processes. The Lab supports both local and international creators—offering flexible, low-quantity, high-variety solutions that range from experimental publications to refined commercial works on premium art paper.
The Lab views paper not merely as a passive surface, but as an active design agent. Each paper selection is a strategic visual decision; every print process becomes an act of communication.
Through integrated research in paper classification, print technology, and visual design, the Lab developed the Applied Paper Material Library and the first Paper Printing & Production Center, established in Taipei. These platforms explore paper’s physical traits and its interaction with ink, light, and touch—revealing how materials shape visual outcomes. 
We don’t fear AI. Paper holds a warmth and wisdom that stays human.

【紙的材料室】是一項長期關於紙材特性的研究分析與相關應用的實驗計畫，從2023年至2025年發展出【紙材實驗室】，內容著重於各種紙材特性在推測實驗中與印刷加工實踐下的視覺成效，這幾年確實為在地與國際創作者、設計相關人士及相關產業發展中的創意表現帶來實踐的可行性，從平張紙到立體物件；從藝術實驗性、獨立性刊物，到精緻商用的美術紙印製需求，帶來少量多樣且精緻化的解決方案。
我們認為紙張不只是被動的載體，而是一種具有設計主動性的材料。每一次選紙皆為視覺策略的體現；每一次印製的作用，皆為訊息的傳遞。
在紙材歸納分類、印刷加工設備系統化與視覺設計的整合下，【紙材實驗室】發展出專業性兼具美感的紙的百科全書『活用紙材庫』與『紙材印刷製作中心』的營運空間，深入研究紙張重量、紋理、不透明度等，與其油墨、碳粉、光線、觸感之間的感官，並進一步分析這些要素如何實際影響視覺設計的決策與成果。
整合材料知識、製程技術與視覺邏輯，全台第一間紙材實驗基地孵化在台北，我們不擔心AI人工智慧及電子化所帶來的衝擊，因為拿在手上的紙本將會真真實實以一種更有溫度的智慧存在！
