【 Description|作品介紹 】
Kinmen, a historic Taiwanese offshore island, harbors unique emigrant culture exemplified by its Western-style buildings. Our branding project uses twin strategies of cultural preservation and promotion: we created a double-sided pop-up book—accordion-bound to display structures on one side and illustrations include information on the building's architectural classification, historical stories, construction years, and overseas Chinese residences on the other.
We also transformed these architectural structures into postcards, hoping to convey the local stories and rich emotions in more depth by writing stories on the building, and produced eight animated shorts with hand-drawn motion and narration, strategically released on social media to narrate the buildings’ past, present, and future.
Last but not least, Collaborating with local guesthouse operators and the county government, we converted a historic Western-style building into a cultural innovation hub and showcase guesthouse, hosting event that immerse visitors and generate sustainable cultural and economic value. This integrated plan transforms Kinmen’s Western-style buildings from forgotten relics into vibrant cultural icons.

金門不只有軍人、菜刀跟高粱。
金門有三大特色:閩南、戰地跟僑鄉文化,而其中閩南、戰地文化是金門目前重點推動的項目,但卻鮮有人知僑鄉文化在金門的代表:『洋樓』,其實在島上就有百餘棟、卻因管理問題而每年都在倒塌,因此我們將設計策略分為兩部分;文化保存與行銷推廣,並在文化保存上著重在三個重點上:立體建築之美、裝飾與歷史特色,並個別用立體書、圖鑑以及影片的方式來呈現
主載體書籍為佛經折裝雙面呈現的立體書與洋樓圖鑑,立體書透過記錄當地具有代表性的黃輝煌洋樓,用貼近當地的方式去重現洋樓僑鄉文化特色,並以立體結構呈現從外觀、裝飾元素、建築形式以及防盜設施等特色,背後的洋樓圖鑑則是收錄了洋樓的建築分類、歷史故事與建造年份等資訊,最後故事介紹影片則是講述了洋樓的建造背景、保存現況等知識,一共八集,每集以的一分鐘短片來介紹。
而行銷方面我們針對洋樓設計了多款文創商品,包含:花磚巧克力、洋樓蠟燭、立體卡片等與當地建立連結,並與當地知名古蹟『北山古洋樓』背包客棧合作,經營當地創生基地並舉辦活動,持續推廣金門的文化特色。
