Adjacent to the popular surfing spot in the Wai'ao Beach, the Surfskate Park is a place allows surfers to practice balancing, cutback, carving, and other ocean surfing techniques with their skateboards. The general public can also experience the thrill of surfing through the undulating topography of the landscape.
During the design process, over 100 cross-sections were extracted from the 3D model, producing more than 1,000 elevation points, which were then located on-site by the GPS positioner. The topography was initially shaped by soil, then topped with gravel. We chose durable Portland concrete, which is resistant to salinity, for the structure of the surfskate tracks, and smooth terrazzo to be the finish of its surface. The polished surface minimizes injuries from falls and reduces excessive wear on skateboard wheels. For the walkways in the park, we used a similar stone mixture for washed-stone finish to provide slip resistance. Grass slopes and plants create buffers that separate the surfskate area from pathways, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all users.

陸上衝浪場緊鄰外澳衝浪街，假日前來此地衝浪戲水的遊客川流不息。作為模擬海上衝浪的滑板場，衝浪客可以在此練習身體平衡、轉身等技巧，一般民眾也可以在這起伏的地形上，體驗海面衝浪的滋味。衝浪場南北端各有一區浪牆，牆面高度與牆面斜率依比例逐漸增高與下降，使用者可以依據各自的需求選擇不同的難易度，中段則以起伏的線性練習道連結。在設計過程中，我們將3D模型標出一千多個放樣高程點，現場再以GPS定出平面位置。衝浪場先以土方挖填出地形雛形，再覆以集配層、並灌注耐海邊鹽分的卜特蘭混凝土，最後以滑順的磨石子作為表層，避免使用者摔傷與減少滑板輪子的磨損。在練習場與散步道之間，我們留設草坡與植栽作為緩衝區隔，讓大小朋友都可以自在安全地使用場域。為了增加陸上衝浪場與周邊遊憩景點的連結，我們在臨道路側的陡坡上增設了一處大階梯與步行坡道，讓人潮可以從這處打開的路徑，自北堤散步而來，也可以輕鬆坐在大階梯上聊天休憩。陸上衝浪場的特殊地景反映了外澳獨樹一格的衝浪文化與海洋地貌，成為結合在地人文與自然特色的公共場域。
