Feng Chia Architecture's "Book Hut Rural Seeding Project" blends architectural education with university social responsibility. The Ma-Tsuo Little Book House in Xihu, Changhua, is a dual-purpose reading room for children and a public space for the community. Its "One Book Hut, Two Places" concept acts as an "innovative educational platform" responding to post-pandemic needs. Through "participatory design" workshops, students and residents co-create the space, embedding local elements like the grape industry, swimming, scouting, and reading into collective memory.Built with recycled containers and greenhouse steel frames, the design transforms agricultural modules into a place for local stories. This "learning-by-doing" process creates a "site for social and educational production" that empowers residents. Replacing "giving" with "co-creation," the project uses hands-on collaboration to build community consciousness and foster sustainable development.
