【Description|

Located in the alleys of Chi-kan East Street, the Meiji-cho Japanese-style dormitory boasts a century-old history as one of the first-generation official residences for Police Officer. To preserve this cultural heritage and encourage its reuse, the Cultural Bureau initiated a partnership-based investment plan. Spearheaded by Taichung's Miyahara Ophthalmology Team (DAWNCAKE CO., LTD.), the initiative introduces the new brand "Meijicoops IceCream" The project aims to uphold the architectural integrity of the Japanese colonial period, blending elements of the "Taisho Romantic" style with hues like rose pink and sky blue to reflect historical and cultural significance. Employing reversible construction methods in spatial planning minimizes impact on the historic structure, ensuring its original appearance endures. The second-floor features a cultural experience zone and a cultural relic exhibition area. The "Ice Cup Museum" showcases utensils spanning from the Japanese colonial era to the early Republic of China period, offering insights into the historical evolution of ice cream Ttableware and inviting visitors to immerse themselves in this unique food cultural heritage.
