【Description｜作品介紹】

In the past, Chiayi Garage Park integrated with related industrial cultures like timber workshops, power rooms, and wood storage ponds, pivotal for forestry and train carriage maintenance. Park landscapes are lush and green. However, due to insufficient landscape design and integration at the timber factory interface on Wuming Road, urban landscapes are unwelcoming. Our design covers parts of Chiayi Garage Park and the timber factory, aiming to connect both areas through landscape design and revive railway forestry culture. We transformed Chiayi's natural elements, "mountains and forests impressions," into our architectural landscape concept. By reorganizing fences, optimizing flows, and integrating activity landscapes, we rejuvenate both interfaces. Permeable pavements, ecological grass slopes, and strategic plantings enhance the railway's mechanical cultural image and establish a new gateway to the Alishan Forest Cultural Corridor.
