"Let it be" is the title of artist Zhou Xiongbo's solo exhibition. It represents the artistic pursuit and creative mindset of going with the flow. The visual presentation of the exhibition combines the abstract flow of ink calligraphy with the natural growth of a forest, expressing the artist's pursuit of mastery and the synergistic relationship with nature, where textual information and the natural world engage in a dialogue. In the design, it is essential to authentically convey the carefree state of "letting it be" through graphic design, while also incorporating the character style relevant to the artist's background and artistic style mentioned in the exhibition story. We invited the artist to write the theme in Chinese calligraphy, allowing the ink to flow in the opposite direction while still wet. Finally, using digital techniques, we merged the ink with a photo of the artist, creating a connection between "growth" and "breakthrough." The forest featured in the artist's photo within the poster is a common type of windbreak forest known as the Chinese Tamarisk, which is widely planted in coastal areas of China. It serves as a windbreak and is one of the common tree species used in the afforestation efforts along the southern coastal regions of China. This tree species represents the artist's upbringing and creative inspiration, influencing their calligraphy in traditional Chinese ink painting.
