* Process

  1. Registration: all registration must be performed online.
    • Participants should proceed to the official website: (http://www.taipeidaward.taipei/) to obtain a personal account. After registration completed, the system will automatically send a “ Account Confirmation Notice” via applicant’s email account. Please provide a frequently used email address to ensure efficient message delivering. Event organizer will deliver competition information via this specific email address.
    • Once the participant successfully receives his/her account name, he/she can log in and upload documents of design works before the registration due date. Uploaded documents shall be in the format of jpg, png, or bmp. Document size is no larger than 1190 pixels (wide) X 840 pixels (height). Please be noted that do not reveal designer’s name or other marks which might influence judge’s decision. Any Irregularities may cause a disqualification.
    • The registration is considered complete once sketches and design concept description are uploaded and Declaration of Intellectual Property Right is agreed. The system will automatically send a “ notice of successful registration” to the registrant’s email account.

      Preliminary Selection Upload of documents
      1. All entries need to be registered online and obtain a serial number to complete registration.
      2. Upload design concept description, max. 300 words. (English as the main language supported by other languages when necessary).
      Upload of sketches Maximum 3 photos of the same work from different angles. Compressed photos can be in jpg/png/bmp formats of the size W1190*H840 pixels, resolution above 72 dpi. Max. 3MB per photo. Maximum 3 photos of the same work. Compressed photos can be in jpg/png/bmp formats of the size W1190*H840 pixels, resolution above 72 dpi. Max. 3MB per photo. Please keep the original file. Maximum 5 photos of the same work from different angles.
      Compressed photos can be in jpg/png/bmp formats of the size W1190*H840 pixels, resolution above 72 dpi. Max. 3MB per photo.

      Noted:
      Please ensure that the images deliver good resolution and provide a quality presentation to allow judges fully understand the content and design concepts of the works.


  2. Preliminary Selection:
    In order to reduce waste caused by printing or mailing the entries, reception of entries and the preliminary selection will be conducted via our electronic platform. Contestants do not need to submit physical sketch boards.
  3. Final Selection:
    Judging will be performed by reviewing the actual works. Detailed specifications to be submitted are as follows:

    Final Selection Submission of works
    1. Actual works can be submitted.
    2. 1:1 or a miniature scale model. The size of the miniature model needs to be between 40*40*40 (cm3 )~100* 100* 100(cm3 ).
    3. Conceptual works shall be rendered by prsentation of 3D animation.
    1. The actual work must be submitted in a reel. Max. 3 pieces.
    2. Works of CI design, printing design, and others must be within the size of 36.4 cm x 51.5 cm ~ 180 cm x 120 cm. Max. 3 pieces.
    3. Actual works can be submitted.
    1. Max. 5 posters within size of (36.4 cm x 51.5 cm ~ 180 cm x 120 cm.
    2. 1:1 or a miniature scale model. The size of the miniature model needs to be between 40*40*40 (cm3 )~100* 100* 100(cm3 ), or in 3D animation display.
    Submission of CD-Rom
    1. Design concept description (max. 500 words) (English as the main language supported by other languages when necessary)
    2. Original images of the work (includes demonstration and scenario, 300dpi, jpg/png/bmp)
    3. 1 photo of designer(s)
    4. Specifications of the model (including materials used, size of the model and production cost)
    5. Videos to demonstrate and display the scenario are encouraged.
    1. Design concept description (max. 500 words) (English as the main language supported by other languages when necessary)
    2. Original images of the work (300dpi, jpg/png/bmp) (package category needs to include demonstration)
    3. 1 photo of designer(s)
    4. Videos to demonstrate and display the scenarioas can be used.

    Note:
  1. To avoid damages during transportation, please firmly pack all your models and graphic works.
  2. For finalists of the Industrial Design and Public Space Design categories, a model production subsidy of NTD$10,000 will be provided. Cash prize winners and those who have not submitted actual works are excluded from this subsidy (for example if the Public Space Design group only handed in 3D animation).
